How often do you exercise

Exercise is very important to living healthy lifestyles, ward off diseases, and improving your quality of life. There are many different types of exercises, exercise program, and physical activities that you can pursue to aid in healthy aging. Do you usually get in your proper amount of exercise per week?

According to the CDC, 80 percent of adult Americans do not get the recommended amount of exercise each week. The problems with not getting enough exercise that you e setting yourself on the wrong foot. Living an inactive lifestyle can lead to diabetes, weight gain, heart disease, mental health problems, some cancers, and other diseases. Obesity is the second leading cause of preventative death only second to smoking. Unfortunately, more than one-third of the adults in the US are overweight.

So how much exercise should you be getting in order to stay healthy and ward of unwanted diseases? According to ACSM, adults should be getting in 20-60 minutes of vigorous-intensity exercise three days per week to accumulate for at least 150 minutes a week for cardiorespiratory health. For weight lifting and body resistance training, adults should try and train each muscle group two to three days each week. Resistance training helps with improving posture, muscular strength and muscular endurance. These are recommendations though, doing any type of physical activity is better than no physical activity.

So I highly advise you to get moving to improve your lifestyle, become healthy, and to get some blood flowing. Not only is there benefits to exercising, but also you do not want to suffer over something that you knew could have been prevented.
