Resolve to Be Healthy in 2013

There is no greater possession than the health of the body, mind and spirit. We at Northwest Chiropractic and Wellness Center ask our patients and friends to Resolve to Be Healthy in 2013. We are here to assist you in your goals, providing preventative, corrective and wellness care with a host of resources to promote your overall health.Health is more than the absence of disease or symptoms. It is the optimum state of well-being where each an individual can function at their ultimate potential. Treating musculoskeletal conditions is one part of the equation as it provides our bodies with the capability to work at jobs, in homes and at hobbies. When the joints, muscles and nervous function normally, then your body has the capacity to be healthy. Other important factors are nutrition, exercise, sleep, hydration and stress managements. Follow these important guidelines in 2013 and see what positive changes occur in your health and well-being. 1. Drink 8 ounces of water per day. If you exercise regularly, drink caffeinated or alcoholic beverages or live in a very hot or cold climate you may need more. 2. Get 8 hours of sleep per night 3. Eat more fruits and vegetables, lean meats and less processed or fried foods. 4. Exercise 30 minutes per day, 5 days a week. Utilize aerobic exercise, resistance training and stretching. 5. Meditate, pray or do deep breathing exercises to nurture your emotional and spiritual life. 6. Keep you posture and spine in-line. 7. Take a multivitamin, acidophilus, and Omega-3 supplement daily.
